[00:31]<@BC_Programming> hey
[00:36]<+Tux2> Did you get any donations from GriefPrevention recently?
[00:37]<+Tux2> BC_Programming?
[00:37]<@BC_Programming> Direct To me? I don't think so, last received is from you I think
[00:38]<+Tux2> Ah, gotcha, then I've got part of a donation for you then. ;) I got a $15 donation for GP today, and since you're doing most of the work I want to give most of it to you
[00:40]<+Tux2> BC_Programming: sent. Enjoy!
[00:40]<@BC_Programming> thanks :)
[00:41]<+Tux2> No problem. ;) I feel that I need to make sure I give credit where it's due. You've been a big help, I couldn't have done it without you, and you don't get paid enough.
[00:45] * Erlend (erlend@mib-8D855F84.kylatee.kodu.ee) Quit (Ping timeout)
[00:46]<+Tux2> So, BC_Programming, how is work going for you?
[00:46]<@BC_Programming> Pretty good, working on the Configuration library we use and my Updater part mostly
[00:47]<@BC_Programming> learned myself about PostGres Large Objects and now all the data is in the database whereas before I had it available through a Network share
[00:48]<@BC_Programming> Still a lot to do which is for the best, keeps me busy :P
[00:51]<@BC_Programming> And this SSD Rules Managed to put off the inevitable mega PC build I will end up doing a while anyway ;)

[13:27]<@BC_Programming> hmm
[13:27]<@BC_Programming> I did a bit of math and I may end up with something like 2 grand for a PC build
[13:27]<@BC_Programming> though I really don't think I could actually spend that much and get reasonable value
[14:00]<+camerongray> Oh nice!
[14:00]<+camerongray> You won't need that though :P
[14:00]<@BC_Programming> yeah even with a monitor
[14:00]<@BC_Programming> I guess I'll just be forced to buy Nintendo stuff :P
[14:01]<+camerongray> haha

[16:04]<+camerongray> lol
[16:05]<+camerongray> Still trying to get my PC running
[16:05]<+camerongray> Now have a Linux distro that likes my video card but tempted to hackintosh for fun
[16:06]<+camerongray> Issue is, to make a Unibeast disk you need another mac and the only hackintosh you can make without another mac is something running snow leopard
[16:06]<+camerongray> So now I have pretty much every decent machine I own out trying to find one that can run snow leopard or newer
[16:06]<+camerongray> Now trying a Virtual machine on my HTPC
[16:06]<+camerongray> Got a pile of 5 laptops beside me, none work :P
[16:07]<+camerongray> x230 is Ivy Bridge so doesn't work with Snow Leopard, D620's DVD drive doesn't read the dual layer DVD it needs to, NC6400 has ATI graphics that cause OSX to freak out, NX7300 is just crap and netbook installed but now just boot loops
[16:08]<+camerongray> And my crapo "testing" laptop - HP ProBook 4515s is AMD so that won't work
[16:08]<+camerongray> And my old HTPC just kernel panics at boot
[16:08]<+camerongray> Fun :D

[19:41]<@BC_Programming> Behold! http://bc-programming.com/images/retrocon.jpg
[19:41]<+camerongray> Nice! How is it?
[19:42]<@BC_Programming> works great
[19:43]<@BC_Programming> it's a bit clunky for NES games though lol: http://bc-programming.com/images/zeldaret.png
[19:43]<+camerongray> Ahh lol
[19:43]<+camerongray> Looks cool
[19:43]<+camerongray> make a video of it!@
[19:43]<@BC_Programming> hmm yes that seems like an idea
[19:43]<+camerongray> Do it!
[19:44]<@BC_Programming> I did clear off my camera's memory card for that purpose
[19:44]<+camerongray> In other news I finally got my PC working with OSX
[19:44]<@BC_Programming> heh
[19:44]<+camerongray> Trying to decide between this and Manjaro which is an Arch based Distro
[19:44]<+camerongray> All other distros I like (So... Arch) throw up on my graphics card
[19:45]<@BC_Programming> that would be a problem
[19:45]<+camerongray> Yeah
[19:45]<+camerongray> The drivers install on Arch but then cause Xorg to segfault at launch
[19:45]<+camerongray> OSX works flawlessly
[19:46]<+camerongray> Then again, this machine was built as a hackintosh so all the parts are pretty much the best you can get for OSX
[19:47]<+camerongray> And Mac OS runs really well on a 1440p screen since Apple sort of use them a lot
[19:48]<@BC_Programming> it seems to have a crappy game detector
[19:48]<+camerongray> lol!
[19:48]<+camerongray> This is very strange though
[19:48]<@BC_Programming> doesn't work with the American football (as opposed to soccer) game
[19:48]<@BC_Programming> now how will I play Madden Footbal '93?
[19:49]<@BC_Programming> crap it works
[19:49]<+camerongray> I thought "OSX uses Command instead of control, this will suck when I use my Arch laptop, I'll swap it so the Ctrl key does command"
[19:49]<@BC_Programming> it does already I thought
[19:49]<+camerongray> But, when I'm using it, I seem to naturally hit the Windows key for Command
[19:49]<+camerongray> Which is really odd as I've used Ctrl for stuff like that for months
[19:50]<+camerongray> I must subconciously be detecting what OS I'm using :P
[19:50]<+camerongray> Really can't type today, think I'll put the heating on, hands are cold :P
[19:51]<@BC_Programming> hmm the NES Zelda game has save files
[19:51]<@BC_Programming> "PEDRO!" is a strange name
[19:52]<+camerongray> haha
[19:52]<@BC_Programming> sadly the NES adapter thing doesn't work in the actual SNES, I think the unit itself has the original Nintendo guts via a Nintendo-On-A-Chip
[19:52]<@BC_Programming> the manual says "do not disassemble" so you can guess I'm doing exactly that
[19:53]<@BC_Programming> if I spot an NES on a chip in the adapter I can probably get it working with the real SNES somehow
[19:54]<+camerongray> lol, you're like me - Get something new, instantly take it apart
[19:54]<@BC_Programming> well the manual said not to
[19:54]<@BC_Programming> it's not the boss of me
[20:00]<@BC_Programming> interesting, the adapter doesn't have an NES on a chip, I think my suspicion was in fact correct, the unit itself has the Guts of both a SNES as well as an NES and the adapter simply allows the NES games to be plugged in
[20:01]<+camerongray> Ahh nice!
[20:02]<@BC_Programming> I'm tempted to take the unit itself apart lol
[20:03]<@BC_Programming> It mus be very compact inside, a lot of space is taken up by the massive battery and the cartridge slot
[20:04]<+camerongray> OMG, I'm on MacOS now, and that means, MS OFFICE!
[20:04]<@BC_Programming> huh?
[20:05]<+camerongray> I've had to use LibreOffice on Linux for ages and it's been hell
[20:05]<+camerongray> I can now use real office
[20:05]<@BC_Programming> heheh
[20:05]<+camerongray> Bought Office 365 last year
[20:05]<@BC_Programming> I just use Office 2013
[20:06]<+camerongray> Yeah, 365 was cheaper though - £60 for a 4 year subscription
[20:07]<@BC_Programming> for you maybe :P I can get both free due to my license to be awesome
[20:08]<+camerongray> Yeah
[20:08]<+camerongray> Aww, Mac is still Office 2011
[20:08]<+camerongray> Which is a bit poop, but still better than LibreOffice
[20:08]<@BC_Programming> hmm I guess I need to start buying more NES and SNES games now that I have this thing
[20:10]<@BC_Programming> though first I'm charging the battery and will probably try to make a video
[20:10]<+camerongray> Why Microsoft... Just why... "Google Chrome must be closed before the software can be installed."
[20:10]<@BC_Programming> will be tricky figuring out how to take a game out with one hand

[23:59]<@BC_Programming> hey craig
[23:59]<@BC_Programming> or was that goodbye?
[23:59]<+Craig> I am going to bed, but I came online so I said "night" :P
